Tour Details

Reach Africa’s highest peak with our 6-day guided trek up Kilimanjaro’s iconic Marangu Route. Led by certified mountain guide Mack, this adventure promises breathtaking scenery, comfortable mountain huts, and a summit victory you’ll never forget.

I will take you to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania via the easiest and the most comfortable route, the Marangu route. You will not only see stunning views on the way but also get to stay in comfortable mountain huts on this 6-day trip.

Marangu route is a well-developed path which offers a constant climb. Although the approach to the summit is a little demanding, it makes the hike even more thrilling.

Regarding difficulty, remember that it is a moderate trek which requires you to have a fit body a bit of previous trekking experience.

We’ll begin the journey by picking you up from Kilimanjaro Airport and driving you to Arusha. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing in your hotel room. The following day, we’ll head to Marangu gate and after the necessary paperwork, set on our trail. Passing through dense rainforest, we’ll get to Mandara hut and call it a day.

As we’ll ascend further towards Horombo Hut,  you will notice a change in vegetation with forest giving way to moorland.

Horombo Hut offers spectacular views of the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo and the Masai steppe. We have also reserved a full day for acclimatization here, so your body will have ample time to adjust.

Continuing further, we’ll get to Kibo Hut and take rest to prepare for the summit hike. Starting just past midnight while it is still dark, we’ll scale to reach the Gilman’s Point just in time to see a beautiful sunrise. From there, a good hike of about 1- 2 hours will take us to Uhuru Peak, the roof of Africa.

The top offers outstanding views of the neighboring peaks. We’ll descend via the same route and get back to Marangu gate to end this amazing trip.

So, if you find this trip inviting enough, get in touch now to book your seat. It is not every day that you get to climb the highest mountain in Africa!  And, you can also ascend Kilimanjaro via the scenic Lemosho Route.
